Double J Mining is an Alaskan family owned and operated placer gold mine in Interior, Alaska. Judd & Gail Edgerton have actively mined their claims since 1990 & are lifelong Alaskans.

We opened our retail jewelry store in Wasilla, AK in 2001 to bring our product from the ground to your jewelry box, Our store features many classic designs as well as one-of-a-kind pieces. All jewelry is manufactured on the premises by of staff of professional jewelers and metal smiths.

Our manufacturing/repair shop includes a laser welder, the latest state of the art equipment, to insure that our customers receive the finest quality in product as well as repair work. Double J Mining & Jewelry carries the largest selection of gold nuggets and gold nugget jewelry in the Valley. We also special order & custom design all other types of jewelry at our customer's request. Our store is full service and we are eager to meet our customer's jewelry needs.

It has been very rewarding to take our product from the ground to the showcase and we enjoy educating our customers on gold mining and the manufacturing process of our jewelry. Judd & David Edgerton currently run the mining business from May-September. Gail manages the retail store year round with the help of two wonderful employees: Frank Ayco-Jeweler and Renee Dawkins-Sales Associate.
